Superintendent’s Representative

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent’s Representative to work on subdivision and civil infrastructure projects in and around metro Sydney.

Day-to-day responsibilities involve representing the Superintendent when administering Works under Contract, typically in accordance with AS4000. You will act as the Principal’s agent in conveying instructions to contractors, perform site inspections, prepare pre-tender cost estimates, undertake reporting and liaise with stakeholders. Importantly, you will be able to manage client expectations whilst coordinating with the contractor.

Typical projects you would work on include residential and industrial subdivisions, site remediation, demolition, drainage works, industrial works, major earthworks, sporting facilities, major services, infrastructure and traffic facilities.

The position would suit someone with several years’ experience in a similar role. Knowledge of contract administration as well as a good understanding of service authority approvals and construction standards is essential.

Senior Civil Design Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for a talented Senior Civil Design Engineer to work on leading land development and civil infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate can expect to undertake the following duties:

  • lead the design process
  • produce engineering plans and reports relating to drainage and stormwater, road design, subdivision design, earthworks
  • produce DA and CC documentation and drawings
  • interpret client briefs
  • collaborate within a multidisciplinary project environment
  • be the key point of contact with clients
  • prepare estimates of quantities
  • prepare design reports, Safety in Design reports and other quality related documentation

The position would suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • qualified civil engineer
  • minimum 7 years’ experience civil design experience
  • experience in road and stormwater drainage design, bulk earthworks design, lot gradings and retaining wall design
  • knowledge of relevant design standards, guidelines and regulations
  • experience using 12D (preferred)
  • experience dealing with clients
  • excellent communication skills

Project Manager

We are looking for a talented Project Manager who can look at the bigger picture and translate our client’s vision. They must be able to anticipate clients’ needs, be solutions focused and importantly, be able to deal confidently with all clients.

In this role, the successful candidate can expect to undertake a wide range of duties which include:

  • Provide input to clients’ budgets and programmes for the Project. Continually monitor these and liaise with the client over significant deviations affecting project outcomes.
  • Coordinate and manage sub-consultants for supporting studies and designs, ensuring relevant issues are addressed to support development applications and approvals for construction.
  • Coordinate and monitor project team members to ensure they focus their efforts on project deliverables to meet objectives to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Inform management of potential new project opportunities with an existing or new client in line with company protocol.

The position would suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Reasonable knowledge in road, bulk earthworks, intersection, major/minor and trunk drainage systems, investigation, design and delivery.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the Civil Engineering industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent in using Microsoft

A civil engineering degree is preferred but is not essential. A background in design would be advantageous.

Superintendent

We are looking for a talented Superintendent who can provide a high level of technical expertise and knowledge to our projects.

In this role, the successful candidate can expect to undertake a wide range of duties which include:

  • Provide technical leadership, general assistance and guidance to the team
  • Ensure that any client issues, needs, disputes are promptly communicated to the Senior Construction & Contracts Engineer and as applicable, the Project Leader.
  • Proactively anticipate clients’ needs and provide recommendations on measures to improve project outcomes.
  • Superintend Works under Contract (WUC), typically in accordance with AS4000 or AS2124 Construction Contracts (or any client alternative Contract), across a number of land development and/or civil infrastructure projects

The position would suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Experience as a contract administrator on civil infrastructure projects.
  • Civil Engineering Degree or suitable Diploma Level qualification with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
  • Proven knowledge of the construction techniques and processes associated with road, bulk earthworks, intersection, pipe drainage, and trunk drainage, and other civil infrastructure works.

Senior Designer

We are looking for a talented Senior Designer who can take the lead in our design team.

In this role, the successful candidate can expect to undertake a wide range of duties which include:

  • Prepare and/or guide the preparation of civil engineering designs
  • Conduct site visits to understand site factors and constraints.
  • Ensure any statutory and regulatory input requirements that may be applicable to design projects are addressed.
  • Liaise with stakeholders such as clients, council and other agencies.
  • Liaise with other project team members (if applicable).
  • Perform subconsultant coordination/management
  • Coordinate utility services investigation and design to compliment civil designs

The position would suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • High proficiency in 12D (including drainage components) and AutoCAD software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • 10yrs experience and a degree in Civil Engineering design

Designer

We are looking for a talented Designer to join our team of designers and work on civil engineering designs

In this role, the successful candidate can expect to undertake a wide range of duties which include:

  • Provide engineering design
  • Prepare/provide input into a variety of documented outputs
  • Understand and work within the project scope. Notify the Project Leader and/or Senior Designer/Senior Design Engineer of changes to scope.
  • Brief Design Draftspersons on time and cost expectations and ensure outputs meet expectation.
  • Communicate project and/or business risk matters to the Senior Designer/Senior Design Engineer or Project Leader (whichever applies).
  • Provide on-the-job training to junior designers/trainees.

The position would suit someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Civil engineering knowledge and design skills related for urban land releases and public infrastructure works. This includes lot layouts, roads, intersections, bulk earthworks, major/minor and trunk drainage systems, water sensitive urban design, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ civil engineering design experience
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering (minimum) for Designer position.
  • High proficiency in 12D (including drainage components) and AutoCAD software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
